The Monotron is a mini analogue ribbon synthesizer by Korg that works with two batteries.

We took this little toy, recorded some riffs with it and made a dubstep mooba inspired piece. All the sounds in this piece came from the Monotron. (well, we added some drums, basses & minimal synths too).
